Frequently asked questions
The Market Garden
Are your vegetables organic?
We grow using natural, regenerative methods without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, following a sustainable no-dig approach. However we have not paid the fee to be recognised as an Organic farm, so technically we cannot call ourselves Organic.
What does no-dig mean?
No-dig farming avoids disturbing the soil through digging or ploughing. This helps protect soil structure, encourages biodiversity, stores carbon and produces healthy, nutrient-rich crops.
Why do you grow using regenerative methods?
Healthy soil produces healthier crops, supports wildlife and biodiversity, improves resilience and helps protect the environment for future generations.
Can I visit the market garden?
We host Volunteer sessions every Thursday, which are a great opportunity to learn about regenerative farming, make some friends and learn how to cook seasonally. If you're not able to attend or would just like to come for a look around please get in touch.
The Farm Shop
Do you support local producers?
Yes. We carefully source many products from independent local producers across Somerset and the surrounding area. If your a local producer and would like to stock your products in our shop, please reach out.
Do you sell refill products?
Yes, we stock a range of zero-waste refillable household products to help reduce unnecessary packaging. All refillables are in the wooden hut, to the left of the farm shop.
Veg Box's
Can I collect my veg box instead of having it delivered?
Absolutely. Collection from the farm shop is available if you prefer.
How often do the contents change?
Our veg boxes change throughout the year depending on what's in season and ready to harvest.
Can I customise my veg box
Yes. You can swap vegetables and add extras such as bread, eggs, cheese and other locally sourced products.
